The way Armand can’t stop smiling when Daniel asks him if he likes him now, and if he’s pleased with the way the turned out. They’re in so much danger and Armand is scared shitless and only wants to find a way to protect them both and yet he can’t stop smiling like an idiot when he says he loves the way Daniel is now. “I might’ve fucked up plenty but I did this one thing right” my heart 😭😭😭

I DID THIS ONE THING RIGHT. Anon, my heart!! But listen, I totally agree with you. Armand may have been uncertain about ever turning anyone and about turning Daniel specifically, but he's obviously not disappointed with the results.

Armand is absolutely thrilled with how Daniel turned out. That big smile gives it away. He loves his messy, giggly fledgling. There's that scene a little later, too, where he's just staring into Daniel's coffin while Daniel sleeps. 👁️👁️ Just watching him, full of love and adoration.

And I think, having seen so many vampires turned over his years, he's especially enamored with the idea that it's his blood animating Daniel now.

We don't know how things devolve for them--we can certainly guess, and by TVA we know they have not gone well 🤧--but whatever happens later, Armand is very clearly happy with Daniel as a vampire. He did not mess it up.

So like, y'all know that popular Star Wars fic trope of Time Traveling Obi-Wan Kenobi where he dies and then wakes up in his 11ish year old body back in the Jedi Temple? You know how usually he wakes up, has a few minutes/hours of confusion, and then goes about trying to act like he was at age 11 while slowly fixing everything wrong with the Jedi Order? Personally I think he would not do that.

I think that Ben "Lived As A Wizard Hermit For Two Decades On Tattooine, Left, And Then Died Immediately" Kenobi would wake up as an eleven-year-old, have a panic attack, attack the nearest adult Jedi while accusing them of Doing Weird Sith Shit To His Brain, fucking flee, only then realize he has time traveled, steal someone's ship, go flying out of the temple to god knows where, continue panicking, crash into a random moon while distracted, nearly die, build a survival camp out of his broken ass ship and eat whatever bugs he can find, get kidnapped by pirates, overthrow said pirates, steal their ship, and then very calmly return to the Jedi temple like nothing happened.

Then and only then do I think he would start trying to act like a normal human person (while also dodging questions such as "what the fuck was that" and "where were you" and "is that a pirate's ship?"), except he'd be bad at it due to having lived as an Insane Wizard Desert Hermit for the past twenty years who has experienced enough trauma and time that he doesn't super well remember the details of his childhood, what with all of the wars and death and wars and such.

His acting convinces nobody, but nobody is sure what exactly to do about All Of That so he's for the most part left alone (after very vehemently refusing sptherapy), all the way up until he catches a glimpse of palpatine out of the corner of his eye and then its On Sight

I was in a road trip in Arizona, it was nighttime and I was looking out the window. I tried to think about just random stuff to let the time pass, but then I started to dream of a scenario where Vasco went over to Machete's grave, he was grieving and pretty much just talking to the grave about how there could've been some way to save him, or that he will never see him again, and stuff like he lost a piece of himself and how he would honor him. It was very emotional but that was the only thing I thought about for like 20 minutes until he ended his conversation and left

I've been thinking about this a little bit, and I'm not quite sure how easy it would be for Vasco to visit Machete's grave, to be honest. As a high ranking member of the clergy he'd most likely be entombed in a crypt underneath one of Rome's hundreds of churches, maybe one that held some kind of significance for him. As a secular citizen with no family relations to him, I'd imagine it could be challenging for Vasco to gain access to such a private and sacred space, at least unless he managed to pull some strings. But then again, I'm just theoretizing. He could and would still visit the church that stands above it.

Just thinking about that bit in DM where it says that seeing Armand truly angry is rare but Daniel is 100% into it. “How he loved this anger, his knees went from under him.”

This is when Armand finally comes for Daniel in Chicago, and he's so happy to see him that he thinks for a second he's imagining it! Which... god, I just love them so much.

I think you're right that Daniel is a little turned on by Armand being angry (Daniel Molloy being horny for this angry fanged monster is how he rolls), but he also just appreciates the intensity of Armand in a way I think maybe others don't always. Lestat, for example, is often taken aback by the intensity of Armand's anger (and other emotions).

But the other thing I think is going on here is that Armand is very often stoic. He keeps his expression unreadable and blank. He holds in his emotions and I think this is doubly true when Armand is upset or mad.

Daniel, over the years, has obviously seen the range of them--he's seen Armand cry, he's seen him rage and laugh and be excited and angry. But I think Armand still tends to hold things in and I think that can be frustrating, because Daniel can't read his mind and doesn't know what he's thinking. So getting Armand to show his emotions probably always feels like something of a victory. I imagine when they fight, Daniel feels like he's beating against a brick wall until Armand finally cracks.

In this particular case, Armand finding Daniel and being visibly angry is sort of a relief. He's not holding back. He's emotional and he's angry because Daniel put himself in danger, because he loves him and had to track him down while immortals are being exploded by some mysterious force left and right. The anger means he's not being rigid and unreadable, but open.

Anyhow, that is me rambling, but yes, I think Daniel does like his displays of emotion and that he would happily take his anger that over the Impassive Statue Act any day... err, night.

Topaz first day as NRC’s librarian

Topaz has to deal with the shenanigans in the Library at the school.

Yuu had warned Topaz about what happens in NRC, but she honestly could not have been prepared for what she heard half way across the room. Despite trying to keep quiet, Riddle's voice echoes in frustration at something a crackling Floyd had said. She looks up to see Floyd run off with a book in his hands with a frustrated Riddle following behind him. Topaz had cleared her throat, causing the boys to stop in their tracks and look at her. She raised an eyebrow and said nothing, letting her actions convey what she wanted.

"A-Apologies, Ms. Nightingale!" Riddle straighten up and bowed.

"Hah...." Floyd made a face and tossed the book to Riddle. "I'm bored now."

"Floyd, apologize to her!"

"Sorry, or something." Floyd left the library as Riddle gawked at him.

"Floyd!"

Topaz sighed as he ran off after him. She hoping that the rest of the day would be uneventful and to the most part, it was. Students filtered in and out, greeting her respectfully less they face the combined wrath of Kassie and Yuu. But the last thing she was expecting was for her grand-daughter to cause the next eventful moment.

"You're shitting me."

Topaz paused in putting the books back, looking down the shelves where she heard Yuu's voice.

"I can assure you, I'm not."

"Bullshit. It's not made up of that."

A chuckle. "You don't believe me?"

Topaz followed the voices and peered around the corner to see Yuu pinning a young man to the bookshelf. If she recalled correctly, his name was...

"Jamil." Yuu narrowed her eyes at the smirking young man.

"Yuu." He leaned in. "Don't you trust me?"

"Sneaky snake."

"Troublesome prefect." He kissed her, pulling her close and wrapping his arms around her.

Yuu returned the kiss, hands resting against his chest before they move up to tangle in his hair. Topaz waited a few seconds before clearing her throat, causing the couple to spring apart.

"Anywhere but here, please." She smiled.

"Yes Ma'am/Sorry, Grandma."

She had something to at least share at dinner tonight.

What's this au that watcher/vex art was similar to? Tell me all the things? -🎀

It’s less of an au and more of just an idea for a start of something? Either way~

It begins with young Watcher-in-training Grian fleeing from the Watchers, finding refuge in a cave that draws him in with some kind of powerful magical aura. He hopes it can mask his trace.

Unfortunately for him, it’s the home of a large, monstrous vex (Scar). He’s very feral and scraggly looking, and he has some awful magic-locked cage muzzle/gag on, leaving his teeth constantly bared and preventing him from speaking. (It doesn't make him safe by any means; he still has claws and various weapons of past attackers scattered around.)

But he’s not attacking Grian. Not yet. Not on sight. He mostly just...watches with narrowed slitted eyes, waiting for something that doesn’t seem to be coming. 

Grian is frightened, has no weapon, and he’s significantly smaller. The vex should be able to take him down easily.

So eventually they reach this sort of neutral state of neither of them moving any closer. Grian creeps along the walls and eventually, slowly, settles himself down to sit to rest his poor shaking legs. Scar stares for a moment longer, then also sits, still watching.

Grian figures maybe as long as he doesn’t provoke this beast, he’ll be safe.

(And it's true. Scar is used to people coming in here to steal and demand to make deals with him. Grian clearly didn't mean to be here though. But he's keeping a watchful eye. He doesn't trust it.)

Eventually, Grian thinks maybe the vex is asleep. So he takes this time to meditate. His real eyes close, and hee opens his Eyes to try to determine if the Watchers are on his trail yet, reaching out as far as he can to Look.

When he opens his real eyes again, Scar is directly in front of him, staring more curiously, sort of like he’s wondering if his intruder just died whilst sitting up straight.

Grian yelps and bonks his head on the wall trying to scramble backward.

But Scar also yelps (although muffled) and flails back as well.

And despite everything... Grian can’t help but laugh at that? Because why is he startled? 

Now that he’s closer, though, he can make out the Watcher’s symbol on the lock of the cage on Scar’s head. And being spiteful of anything the Watchers might do, he reaches out without even really thinking about it. 

Scar freezes.

He lets Grian touch the trap around him, but he still doesn't know for sure this isn’t an elaborate trick? Something to get close and take him down? It would have been Grian's only way of winning, truly. So Scar places a clawed hand close to Grian's neck. He's slow and soft with the touch, but it’s undeniably threatening. If Grian was going for some kind of trap here, surely he'd flinch back?

But Grian swallows nervously and tries his best to reassure the vex that he wants to help.

And, eventually, Scar removes his hand and cranes his head to help Grian look at the contraption, also baring his neck, tentatively trusting.

Grian breaks the seal and slooooowly pulls the thing off of Scar, and oh Scar is so happy.

He grins, big and toothy (full of sharp edges, but it's still so oddly charming?) and grabs Grian to spin him excitedly.

He speaks now, (and oh if his voice isn't also so charming) and he lifts Grian up, looks up at him, lips far too close. "Oooh my gosh, I swear I could kiss you right now!" he exclaims, but he doesn't, a shame, really, and instead puts Grian back down and just starts excitedly introducing himself.

In this case, Vexes have like unlimited magical potential. But they are limited by only being able to use it under the direction of someone else. (thinking like how evokers summon them and direct them) The catch is, vexes are tricky creatures. They can and will warp your instructions to their liking if you leave any room for loopholes or leeway. That’s part of the reason Scar was gagged. To prevent him from swindling you into a bad deal.

So normally Scar would do whatever he could to bend the rules and screw over his master, but he’s so overwhelmingly happy at being freed that he says to Grian, “Anything you want! It’s yours. Anything at all, no tricks, no nothing.” And he means it, too.

And that’s all I really came up with! Like I said, just a beginning.

I think Grian should ask about that kiss.

A/n: two posts in less than 24 hours!?

Warning/content: mentions of panic attacks, mentions of contamination OCD.

Naruto Uzumaki

☆ Naruto would definitely be more cautious with his partner because he wouldn’t want to upset them or cause them to overthink things he’s done or said, most things he does have no rhyme or reason. However if you start overthinking something he said he’ll happily explain it and give you all the reassurance you need. ☆

☆ He doesn’t want to put you in a situation that would make your anxiety worse, for example if you don’t like public or crowded places, he’d go out of his way to make sure no one touches you or gets too close and if you need some space to calm down he’d take you to a less busy area. ☆

☆ The first time he saw you have a panic attack, he kinda panicked himself and was unsure of what to do. He’s had panic attacks himself but you’re not him, so he just awkwardly kneeled down to your level and gently rubbed your back, helping you take deep breaths. He always wants you to be comfortable and feel safe with him. ☆

Sasuke Uchiha

☆ You never liked germs, the thought of getting sick made your skin crawl, you’d always been told it really wasn’t that serious but to you it was. You had to always wash your hands before touching anything and wash them after, there have been times when you scrubbed your hands red. It was more than just the hand washing though, it was having to immediately change if someone touched your clothes. ☆

☆ Sasuke never really noticed your obsessive behavior until you moved in together, he noticed how you religiously washed your hands and cleaned everything single thing you touched, at first he thought you were just a clean freak until he saw how red your hands would be after every time you washed them. He didn’t want to bring it up but he finally decided enough was enough when your hands bled from the extreme washing. ☆

☆ There have definitely been times when you weren’t able to wash your hands and it made you panic, you were rubbing your hands together to try and get the same feeling you get from washing your hands but it wasn’t enough. You practically curled in on yourself trying to stay calm but it was no use, Sasuke noticed your behavior and carefully placed his hand on your back, not wanting to trigger you further. He opened his backpack and had hand sanitizer and gave you some, he’d started carrying it just in case something like this ever happened. Not that he’d ever admit it. ☆

Gaara

☆ He truly tries his best to avoid putting you in situations that’ll cause you to be anxious or cause a panic attack but sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way, as the kazekage he has to attend a lot of meetings that have lots of people in attendance as well so it’s often overcrowded and overstimulating. You know these type of events make you anxious but you decide to grin and bear it for your boyfriends sake. ☆

☆ When you inevitably get overwhelmed at these type of things he keeps you close to him because come hell or high water he won’t leave you alone if you start feeling like that. He’d do the small things like keeping a firm grip on your hand to make you feel safer and more secure or placing his hand on the small of your back so you don’t get separated. ☆

☆ He’s seen you have panic attacks before and it makes his heart ache every time, he doesn’t want you to feel alone during times like this but sometimes he understands that’s just what you need, time to decompress and calm down yourself. Even if it hurts to step away for a few moments he’ll do whatever he needs to help even if he’s not directly involved.☆
